First Rehearsal Complete! -posted 10/27/08
Wow, one rehearsal down, and boy was it a big one! Thankfully we had a much larger space than last year since we have tripled our numbers. Thanks for everyone who came and worked their butts off in a very crowded space! See you at the next one!
Below you will notice we have a new thriller choreography video filmed after rehearsal last night. Please use it to practice before the next rehearsal! Note, if you follow the link to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3r4-yspJv8g you can watch the video in High Quality and Full Screen
And finally you will notice registration has closed. Sorry if you were not able to register in time for this years parade, but check back next year for ThrillerNYC 2009!

Practice, Practice, Practice! -posted 10/13/08
Hey Everyone, great news!
Our wonderful team of Bridget, Severine, and Zeno were kind enough to create a practice video yesterday.
This is your chance to get an early jump on learning the dance, especially for those people who will not be able to make it to all the rehearsals.
Link for the detailed steps with the video
Link for just the videos
Also please note, in the forums, I changed how you can embed You Tube videos, to make it easier, so make sure you read the instructions listed at the top of the videos section before you post a video.
Rehearsal Times are set! -posted 9/29/08
Hey Zombie Town,
Well, the big day is only one month away, and I bet you're wondering, when am I going to learn the dance?!!
Well sign up for our mailing list at www.thrillernyc.com/join, and you will receive an email with all the rehearsal times.
As usual, we do not require that everyone attend every rehearsal. If you are a zombie veteran and just need a refresher, you can get by with 2 rehearsals. If you're brand new, I suggest you try your best to be at all of the rehearsals, because even though the dance isn't that hard, it takes some repetition to memorize the steps.
OK, that's it, I'm so excited to get things going. We've already made some progress on planning this year, and there's been a lot of good buzz, so I can't wait to see everyone on the 26th!
Thanks,
Ryan

Calling all Zombies -posted 9/17/08
Calling all Zombies,
Mark your calendars -- This is an early heads up for the Halloween parade...!
Not only is this year the fifth anniversary of our remarkable "thrill ride" making people go f--ing nuts at the largest public parade in the country, it is also the 25th anniversary of MJ"s album Thriller.
We hope -- no we expect -- everyone to help us celebrate both anniversaries and once again create a zombie nation heading up 6th Ave!!
Ryan will send out an email in the next couple of weeks regarding rehearsal times and locations (as per usual, it'll be the weekend and week before the parade, which is on Halloween night - attend however many you think you'll need to get the rust, soil, decay off)
Get your Grrrrr on and we - Ryan, Nadya and I - look forward to seeing you in Oct!
Bridget - aka - undead dance instructor
ps if you need to be reminded how much FREAKING fun it is, peruse last year's photos on the website: http://thrillernyc.com/

First Rehearsal a success!!! -posted 10/26/07
Wow, I would say our first rehearsal was a smashing success. We had a great turnout and I was happy to see a lot of new and familiar faces. Thanks to Shazia Khan from NY1 for coming to spend the evening with us. We can expect to see her footage Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday.
The updated steps have been posted in the Forums under Rehearsals, so please review them. Remember only two more rehearsals to go, so if you missed last night, you have to come Sunday and Tuesday or you won't know what you're doing. There have been some changes this year, so even zombie veterans need to do some work.
Take care and see you Sunday
